Anyone interested in volunteering at Community School – whether in the classroom, after school, on field trips, etc – needs to have a background investigation completed each year.
There is a new process for getting a BCI this year!!
- BCI applications should be brought to the main office (Mrs. Skawinski at the Trans Building), with:
- an ID. Please note: an ID must be presented in person. Copies are not acceptable.
- $5 cash, or a check made payable to the Cumberland Police Department.
- The CPD will send approvals to Human Resources and names will be added to the volunteer list.
- Typical turnaround time is 10 days, and applications will be sent every FRIDAY only.
- To check BCI status, volunteers/teachers can call or email Christine.Skawinski@cumberlandschools.org.
BCIs are valid for 1 school year only. If you had one last year, you must still complete a new one.
