Be A Class Coordinator or Volunteer!
The best way to get to see your child in their classroom is to be a classroom coordinator or volunteer for your child’s classroom.
Each class has one parent coordinator assigned who will assist the teacher with crafts, holiday events, reading to the class (for younger kids), and helping teacher collect classroom supplies when needed. Often this person will coordinate holiday and end of year class gifts.
Some teachers lean on this person a lot and some tend to have their own plans and just need a little assistance. Some teachers create their own sign-up sheets and some ask the coordinator to find volunteers to help on special days like holiday parties.
If you are interested in being a coordinator or just want to be on your coordinator’s volunteer list, maybe sure you get a BCI (Background check) form for this school year (must be done every year) in soon and fill out the Classroom Volunteer form below.
Make sure to fill out the form by September 20!!
