In the event that schools must be closed due to inclement weather or if any early release is declared, announcements will be made on several local radio and television stations and websites.
Should weather conditions necessitate the cancellation of Community School activities such as: CSA meetings, curriculum nights, field day, etc., the cancellation will be posted on the school website.
If school is cancelled, after school and evening activities will also be cancelled. If there is an unexpected early release, the children will be dismissed according to the typical dismissal procedures unless the school has been otherwise instructed in writing by the parent. For example, if a snowstorm causes the schools to be dismissed two hours early, your child will go home on his/her bus at 1:00 p.m. If you know that there will be no supervision at home, please make arrangements.
You should receive an automated phone call in the event of a delay, closing or early release.
