Congratulations Mrs. Lussier!

Community School is proud to announce that Mrs. Lussier has been awarded the recognition of ICSE Employee of the year!

Linda demonstrates the tenets of our school to the tee. She is respectful, responsible, and ready to work each and every day. She interacts with hundreds of parents, students and staff on a weekly basis. She typically not only meets their requests, but goes above and beyond, offering assistance to make situations better for each person.

Mrs. Lussier is usually the first person who greets families and children. Her approach is always respectful, helpful and kind. She is well known in the community as the one you go to for help.

Linda understands the complexities of a school the size of Community and is always thinking about how to mainstream processes to improve the overall function for all. She arrives early and leaves late most days and she volunteers for all CSA events. She often volunteers for committees at school and beyond, including School Safety and Hospitality.

Extending her role outside of Community School, Mrs. Lussier is often recruited to assist others within the district. She does so with a willing and giving attitude. Mrs. Lussier’s impact is felt by many in the school department and town of Cumberland.

Congratulations, Mrs. Lussier!

Layla’s Dream Toy Collection

December 4th-15th, 2017

Community School would like to invite you to continue to support the efforts of the Charette family through donations to Layla’s Dream this holiday season. Please see the link for more information about Community’s Sweet Layla and her family:

http://www.valleybreeze.com/2017-04-19/cumberland-lincoln-area/layla-s-dream-childs-legacy-lives#.Wh6UplWnHrc
Layla’s family donates in her honor to the children who are on the PICU floor of Hasbro Hospital. This hospital is near and dear to the Charette Family. Hopefully our donations will allow Layla’s Dream to expand to more children in the hospital.

Please donate NEW stuffed animals, soft pillows, blankets, coloring books with colored pencils for older children, and small toys for all ages. Any donation would be greatly appreciated by the children.
All donations should be unwrapped and new when brought into school. If you have any questions or concerns, please email andrea.friedland@cumberlandschools.org.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!!
